COMPOSITION

Each 400 mg vaginal capsule is composed of, alpha-lipoic acid, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, titanium dioxide.

DAV® Vaginal capsules contains alpha lipoic acid, an endogenous fatty acid with antioxidant properties that counteract free radicals released at the extracellular level during inflammatory processes. These processes are responsible for alterations in the extracellular matrix and cause tissue modifications. DAV® Vaginal Capsules therefore has a normalizing effect, helping to counteract alternations in the cervix and vaginal tissues.

CLINICAL INFORMATION

The physiological course of pregnancy may be threatened by the onset of rhythmic, progressive uterine contractions associated with the shortening and dilation of the cervix These modifications occur as a consequence of inflammatory processes involving major changes to the connective tissue extracellular matrix, For this reason, in cases of possible miscarriage or premature birth, the appropriate tocolytic therapies should be combined with procedures able to counter morphological changes to the cervix.

INDICATIONS

Gynecological treatment of changes in the cervix associated with oxidative processes Adjuvant to restore and maintain normal vaginal tropism.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Known hypersensitivity to the components.

POSOLOGY AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

One capsule s day (I the evening before going to bed), for 6 days in a row. inserted deeply into the vagina. If necessary, treatment can be repeated, as advised by the doctor.

WARNINGS

Use of all topical products, particularly for extended period of time, can lead to sensitization; if this occurs, discontinue treatment and seek medical advice to determine the proper therapy, Genital itching and burning sensations are to be considered physiological, linked to the nature of lipoic acid. If you are scheduled to undergo specific gynecological tests or treatments, discontinue treatment the day before. The product should only be administered vaginally. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. Do not use the product if the box and/or the alveolus are not intact. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not ingest.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE

Store at temperatures between and 25’C, in a dry, dark place.
